  • Lacha Pudina Paratha Recipe

    Lacha Pudina Paratha

    Cut a slit from the outer edge till the center. Start rolling from the slit to form cone. Roll out to a thick paratha. Do try this Lacha Pudina Paratha recipe!!

    Lacha Pudina Paratha

    • 2 cups wheat flour
    • 3 tbsp mint leaves (finely chopped)
    • 3 tbsp cooking oil
    • 1/2 tsp chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp carom seeds
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • ghee as required

    Method

    1. In a bowl, combine together wheat flour, carom seeds, salt, chili powder, oil.
    2. Gradually add water and knead a soft dough.
    3. Make small balls out of the dough.
    4. Roll into a quarter plate size.
    5. Spread 1 tbsp of ghee over it.
    6. Cut a slit from the outer edge till the centre.
    7. Start rolling from the slit to form cone.
    8. Roll out to a thick paratha.
    9. Sprinkle mint leaves on it.
    10. Roll again.
    11. Heat a griddle( tawa) over medium heat.
    12. Put paratha on hot griddle.
    13. Fry paratha on each sides for 2 minutes or until light golden.
    14. Lacha Pudina Paratha is ready to serve. ENJOY!!
    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with curd or pickle or chutney.

    Step 1

    Boil dal and make paste.

    Step 2

    Powder chili, Zeera,cumin seed and asafoetida.

    Step 3

    Heat 2 tbsp oil in frying pan and fry the masala in it. Then add the dal paste.

    Step 4

    Add salt and stir.

    Step 5

    Remove from fire and roll into small balls.

    Step 6

    Knead the wheat flour to soft dough and make ball.

    Step 7

    Spread the ball to round shape. Place dal paste in centre. Cover then roll out like chapatis.

    Step 8

    Fry puris in a deep fry pan until crisp and golden.

    Step 9

    Remove form the oil and drain on paper towel. Dal Puris are ready to serve.

    Dal Palak

    There are many ways of making dal palak. This dal palak recipe is a very simple and easy one and won’t take much of your time. This is a very healthy recipe. Even though this requires very minimal ingredients, it tastes very delicious and flavorful. Dal Palak recipe is a great recipe that combines both the goodness of the moong dal as well as palak (spinach) leaves. Its tasty as well as healthy too.

    Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Fry ginger, onions and green chillies for few minutes or until lightly browned.

    Step 5

    Pour on top of the dal and stir well.

    Dish it out and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chillies. Dal Palak is ready to serve.

    Step 1

    Pre-heat the oven on 275 degree C.

    Lightly greased a 8×8 baking pan with butter and keep aside.

    Remove the crust from all side of bread.

    Put the bread, sugar and cheese (paneer) in a food processor or blender.

    Step 5

    Process until well combined.

    Step 6

    Stir in the cardamom and 1/2 almonds.

    Note: Mixture should be moist, if it appears to be dry add 3 tablespoon of milk.

    Step 7

    Put the mixture on the preapred baking dish. Spread evenly and top with remaining almonds.

    Step 8

    Cover with foil.

    Step 9

    Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

    Step 10

    Remove from the oven and leave it cover for about 15 minutes so burfi remain moist with the steam.

    Step 11

    When Paneer burfi comes to the room temperature, cut into your desired shapes. Paneer Burfi is ready to serve.

    Ingredients

    • 500 gm flour
    • 250 gm wheat flour
    • 4 tbsp oil
    • 1 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • Lukewarm water to knead the dough

     

    Directions:

    • In a large bowl, combine together flour, wheat flour, salt, sugar and oil.
    • Knead a hard dough with lukewarm water.
    • Cover the dough with a wet cloth.
    • Leave it for 1 hour then use to make paratha.
    • Shallow Fry Paratha in oil or ghee.
    • Paratha Dough is ready now.

    Step 1

    Mix Rice Flour, onion, green chilly, coriander leaves and salt as Idli batter.

    Step 2

    Take a plantain leaf and put some mixture of rice flour on plantain leaf and spread it as thin roti.

    Step 3

    Meantime, keep a griddle(tawa) in low flame and put the rice flour which is spread on plantain leaf.

    Step 4

    Pour oil around the roti, once get cooked turn the roti. Rice Roti is ready to serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 kg flour
    • 1 cup fresh cream
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp yeast
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • water as required
    • clarified butter as required

    Directions:

    1. Place flour, yeast, salt, cream and sugar in a large bowl.
    2. Knead a soft dough by using water.
    3. Keep aside for 30 minutes.
    4. Now roll a roti of the dough.
    5. Spread ½ cup clarified butter on it.
    6. Sprinkle little bit of flour and make a roll.
    7. Now cut the ball with the help of knife.
    8. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
    9. Roll balls like a roti.
    10. Shallow fry parathas on a hot griddle with hot clarified butter.
    11. Reshmi Paratha is ready to serve.
    12. Enjoy!

    Step 1

    In a non-stick pan, roast the besan until dark orange yellow on medium low heat.

    Step 2

    Now add ghee and cardamom and roast until brown.

    Add sugar, and mix it well.

    Step 4

    Reduce heat now and let it cook for 2 minutes.

    Step 5

    Now add kishmish and half of cashews and almonds.

    Step 6

    Add saffron water along with soaked saffron and another 2 -1/2 cups of water.

    Step 7

    While adding the water stir continuously. Be careful that halwa does not stick and cook till ghee separates.

    Step 8

    When cooked, turn off the heat and transfer to a bowl.

    Step 9

    Drizzle with rose water.

    Step 10

    Garnish with almonds and cashews. Saffron Besan Halwa is ready to serve. Serve hot.

    Step 1

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Saute onion in oil until lightly brown.

    Add ginger garlic paste. Stir and cook for 1 minute then add tomato and 1 cup water.

    Now add red chili, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and salt. Keep stirring and cook for 5 minutes or until gravy become smooth.

    Add 1 cup of water. Bring the water to boil and then reduce the flame to low.

    Cover the pot with a lid. Cook for 15 minutes or until the daal is cooked.

    Remove the lid and cook on high flame for 5 minutes or until oil comes on top.

    Dish it out. Garnish with green chilies and lemon wedges. Dal Mash is ready to serve.
