    Chicken Nizami is a wonderful chicken dish that is cooked with cashew nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, coconut, yogurt, and spices and garnished with coriander, lemons, garam masala that really makes this a mouthwatering and rich chicken dish that all must try.     • 1-1/2 Kg Chicken, cut into 8 large pieces
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup cooking oil
    • 1/4 cup coconut, soaked In 1/2 cup hot water
    • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
    • 4 green chilies, thinly sliced
    • 2 Inch piece Of cinnamon
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 4 tablespoon yogurt
    • 4 tablespoon whipped cream
    • 1 tablespoon hot milk
    • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1/4 teaspoon saffron
    • few coriander leaves, finely chopped

    Dry Masala:
    (Grind all of them)

    • 2 tablespoon coconut desiccated
    • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
    • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
    • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 3 cardamoms
    • 4 cloves
    • 10 dried red chilies

    Step 1

    Put together all the ingredients from the cumin seeds to the cinnamon and grind to a fine paste.

    Step 2

    Extract the milk from the soaked coconut and set aside.

    Step 3

    Heat the saffron for 2 seconds in the microwave or on a griddle, crush it, and soak it in the hot milk.

    Step 4

    Heat the oil and fry the onion till it is golden-brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a couple of minutes.

    Step 5

    Add the ground paste and bay leaves. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.

    Step 6

    Put in the chicken pieces and 1/2 a cup of water and continue cooking, for approximately 20 minutes, over a low heat.

    Step 7

    When the chicken is almost cooked, add the coconut milk, green chillies,coriander leaves and yoghurt. Cook till the chicken is tender.

    Step 8

    Add the cream and saffron. Simmer for 3 minutes. Chicken Nizami is ready to serve.

    Goodbye to restaurant style pizzas, I really mean it…I can’t tell you how often I get asked to make pizza at home.

    I made this pizza last night for a quick dinner. I had been roaming around with the recipe for making the perfect pizza for so long and the thought of topping the pizza crust with minced triggered me last night all of a sudden. I had no other choice but to execute my idea.
    When it came to top the pizza crust, I went a little overboard and made ground chicken sauce.Topped the crust with the ground chicken and then with veggies, olives generously sprinkled mozzarella cheese and herbs and baked it in the oven for 30 minutes. For the entire 30 minutes, I literally peeped into the oven window and enjoyed the amazing show of crust puffing up, ground chicken getting browned and the cheese getting melted, what a divine pleasure it was!!!
    Each step I did with so much passion and waited so eagerly to have a bite of this pizza. As the pizza came out perfectly baked with a soft crust and the mince topping on it along with the melted golden cheese on it, the mere sight of it made me go wild. I screamed out of joy and I burned my tongue out of greed!

    For this recipe I used pre-made pizza base, sauce and toppings.The fresh and juicy taste of fried mince, Italian pizza sauce, and vegetables are really an awesome treat for your tongue. Make a try and enjoy the original taste:-)

    Do try it. It’s a quick meal with most ingredients from the cupboard. My family really like it. It’s homemade pizza, so women are going to like it. It’s topped with ground chicken sauce, so men are going to love it. It has cheese on it, so kids are going to enjoy it of course in a messy way. After finishing up the pizza, everyone is going to go wild!!!

    Good with minced lamb, too.

    Quick and Easy Mince Pizza Recipe

    This Easy Mince Pizza Recipe is for all those who want to prepare pizza at home but have not tried yet because making dough is not a quick process.It will reward you with infallible pizzas every time.

    For Mince

    • 500 gm chicken mince
    • 6 mushrooms (thinly sliced)
    • 1 medium onion (chopped)
    • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
    • 2 green chilies (minced)
    • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
    • 1 teaspoon crushed red chili
    • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
    • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    • 1/4 teaspoon rosemary (optional)
    • salt to taste

    For Pizza Filling & Topping

    • 1 large ball of premade pizza dough
    • 1-1/2 cup cooked chiken mince
    • 1 cup pizza sauce
    • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
    • 1 small onion (thinly sliced)
    • 1 small capsicum (thinly sliced)
    • 1 small tomato (deseeded & thinly sliced)
    • 4 olives (thinly sliced)
    • 1 teaspoon herb seasoning
    • 2 pinch oregano
    1. Start making the mince by heating some oil in a pan over medium heat.
    2. Then saute onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
    3. Now add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute without browning, then add the minced meat and green chilies.
    4. Cook and stir well for few minutes or until lightly browned.
    5. Season with salt, pepper, basil and rosemary.
    6. Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes or until all water dries up and mince is cooked thoroughly.
    7. Roll out the dough in the circle or a desired shape (I use my deep dish pizza pan, 3×12″ ), Pushing gently until fairly thin and prick the dough all over with a fork.
    8. Spread on the sauce almost to the edges and sprinkle on the oregano.
    9. Top generously with the shredded cheddar cheese, chicken mince, arrange some onion and pepper, tomato slices, olives over it.
    10. Grate on Mozzarella to taste and sprinkle herb seasoning then place in the oven to bake for 30 minutes, or until the crust is puffy, crisp and slightly blistered.
    11. Take out of oven, let sit for a few minutes, then slice, sprinkle with red pepper flakes and serve warm.

    Serving Suggestions:
    So easy, and delicious with a glass of fresh lemonade.

    Falooda is an Indian and Pakistani recipe. It is cardamom flavored milk dessert with nuts, basil seeds, sev and ice cream topping. You need to plan some elements like soaking basil seeds and boiling-chilling milk ahead of time while making falooda. But all the effort is worth when you enjoy a glass of falooda. And yes making it at a home is also cheap. Wow!! Homemade cool, creamy falooda.

    • 75 gram falooda sev
    • 2 cups +2 tbsp water
    • 2 cups milk
    • 3 tablespoon sugar
    • 2 tablespoon chopped pistachios
    • 1 tablespoon raisins
    • 1 tablespoon basil seeds
    • 1/2 teaspoon pistachios essence
    • a pinch of green food color
    • a pinch of cardamom powder
    • 12 almonds
    • 12 raisins
    • ice cream as required

    Directions:

    Soak basil seed in water for around 1 hour.

    Take a large pot, add water. Bring to a boil.

    Then add falooda sev and cook for 4-5 minutes or until they are tender and soft.

    Now strain and keep aside.

    Step 5

    Boil milk in a saucepan. Add sugar and mix well.

    Step 6

    Stir in the pistachios, green food color, basil seeds and cardamom powder.

    Step 7

    Cook and stir on low heat or until milk is thickened.

    Step 8

    Now add the cooked falooda sev to the milk.

    Step 9

    Cook and keep simmering for 10 minutes or until all the flavors get incorporated.

    Step 10

    Allow to cool completely.

    Step 11

    Refrigerate for 6 hours or until chilled.

    Step 12

    Divide milk mixture into four glasses.

    Step 13

    Topped with a dollop of ice cream, dry fruits.Homemade Pistachio Falooda is ready to serve.

    Sajji Pulao Recipe

    This is Sajji Pulao that is not difficult at all, so in next get together surprise your guest with this Sajji Pulao pulao recipe

    For Sajji

    • 1 whole chicken
    • 1/2 cup vinegar
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 2 tsp garlic paste
    • 2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp chaat masala
    • 1/2 tsp salt

    For Pulao

    • 1 kg basmati rice
    • 250 gm tomatoes
    • 250 gm onions
    • 100 gm dried plum
    • 4 bay leaves
    • 4 tbsp green chili paste
    • 2 tsp black cumin
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp whole black pepper
    • 1/2 cup Oil or butter

    Method

    To Make Chicken Sajji

    1. Marinate whole chicken with vinegar, chaat masala, salt, garlic, red chili powder and oil.
    2. Place in a refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
    3. Now preheat oven to 200 degree c.
    4. Bake marinated chicken in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until chicken is tender.

    To Make Pulao

    1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
    2. Fry onions for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
    3. Add black cumin, chopped tomato, whole black pepper, salt and bay leaves.
    4. Stir well.
    5. Now add 2 glasses of water, dried plums, green chili paste and soaked rice in it.
    6. As the water gets dry from the rice put the chicken sajji on it.
    7. Cover the skillet and leave it for 30 minutes.
    8. Delicious Sajji Pulao is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Mint Raita and Salad.

    Boil the milk in a heavy bottomed pan. Continue heating even after the milk boils.

    Step 2

    Heat about a liter of water in another pan and add the almonds and the pistachios.

    Step 3

    Continue heating until the almonds expand.

    Step 4

    Drain off the water and wash the nuts with cold water. The skin of the almonds and the pistachios can be easily removed now.

    Step 5

    Now grind the almonds and pistachios into a smooth paste and add it to the milk and stir well.

    Step 6

    Add the saffron strands,sugar and cardamon powder and mix well.

    Step 7

    Continue heating the milk for a few more minutes.

    Step 8

    When the milk becomes a little thicker than before,cool it .

    Step 9

    Refrigerate it for 2-4 hours and serve it cold. Saffron Pista Milk is ready to serve. Enjoy!

    Heat oil in a nonstick frying pan over medium heat.

    Spread the grated potato all over the pans evenly.

    The potatoes will all come together into one layer and will be easy to flip.

    Meanwhile, In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, salt, red chili flakes, parsley and oregano.

    When the eggs start to cook from the edges, top with cheese. Reserve 2 tablespoon cheese.

    Sprinkle with the green peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes.

    Then top with the remaining cheese.

    Step 13

    Put the lid on and cook on low heat for 2-3 minutes or until the egg cooked through and the cheese has melted and bubbly.

    Place apple filling in an even layer over prepared crust.

    Step 9

    Thinly slice 1/2 cup butter and evenly distribute over the apples.

    Step 10

    Roll out the remaining dough and place over the apple filling.

    Step 11

    Seal edges and prick the top all over with a fork.

    Step 12

    Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

    To make the frosting:
    In a small bowl,mix together the confectioners’ sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, vanilla extarct and 1/3 cup butter. Beat until smooth and creamy.

    Step 14

    Allow sheet cake to cool for 5 minutes before frosting. Apple Sheet Cake is ready to serve.

    This is my Rubina Khala’s ( my aunt) fabulous Harissa with kabab recipe that has become one of my absolute favorites and a must-have whenever we when we have a family gathering or family dinner. I recently asked for the recipe and added my twist.Truly delicious, very filling and energy boosting.

    I love to eat Harissa any time; if only i din’t have to give away my last energy stirring it, I would have really made it every day!!

    Harissa with Kabab

    • For Harissa
    • 1 kg mutton
    • 2 onion (thinly sliced)
    • 1 whole garlic bulb (don’t peel)
    • 2 inch piece of ginger (peeled and chopped)
    • 1 cup clarified butter or desi ghee
    • 3/4 cup wheat (crushed)
    • 1/2 cup rice
    • 1/2 cup whole moong daal (whole green lentil)
    • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
    • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (haldi)
    • salt according to taste

    For Kabab

    • 750 gm mince (keema)
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1 onion (chopped)
    • 3 tablespoon seekh kabab masala
    • 1/2 teaspoon red chili (crushed)
    • salt to taste
    • oil for frying

    Directions

    1. Soak rice and wheat together and boil until mushy.
    2. Soak moong in warm water.
    3. Put all the kabab ingredients except oil in a chopper or food processor. Process until well combined.
    4. Take it out in a mixing bowl and make finger size kabab.
    5. Heat oil in a shallow pan over medium heat. Shallow fry kababs until turned golden brown.
    6. Remove from the oil and keep aside
    7. Take a large pot, add meat ,onion, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red pepper and salt.
    8. Add 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil and cook until meat is tender and it has enough soup in it.
    9. Discard garlic and onion.
    10. Add moong daal in it and cook until meat is all mushy.
    11. Add rice and wheat in it. Cook and stir for 15 minutes or until well combined.
    12. Blend with a hand blender and add all spice powder. Cook and stir for 20 minutes or until you have haleem like Consistency.
    13. Now put kababs in it.
    14. Make tarka (bighaar) with clarified butter. Add a pinch of turmeric and cayenne to give color.
    15. Put tarka on the harissa.
    16. Dish it out. Garnish with green chillies. lemon wedges and coriander leaves. Delicious Harissa with Kabab is ready to serve. Enjoy!!

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with naan or tandoori roti.

    Put coraiander leaves,green chillies and cashews in a blender or food processor. Blend for 2-3 minutes or until smooth.

    Take it out in a bowl. Add ginger garlic paste, yogurt, turneric powder and salt. Mix well.

    Put chicken into the yogurt mixture. Stir to coat evenly. Cover and marinate chicken for 2 hours to blend flavors.

    Step 4

    Heat oil in a deep wok or karahi over medium heat.

    Step 5

    Add chicken along with marination. Cook and stir for 10 minutes on high flame or until chicken is longer pink.

    Step 6

    Then reduce the heat and cook and stir for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender.

    Step 7

    Dish it out. Chicken and Coriander Curry is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Ingredients:

    • 2 large chicken breasts,boneless and skinless
    • 2 tbsp raw sesame seeds
    • 2 green onions,thinly sliced

    For Marination:

    • 1 tsp chicken base
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
    • 1/2 tsp white pepper
    • 1/4 tsp sugar

    For Batter:

    • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1 egg,lightly beaten
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 3 tbsp cornstarch
    • salt to taste
    • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

    For Sauce:

    • 3 tbsp honey
    • 2 tbsp sugar
    • 2 tbsp ketchup
    • 1 tbsp vinegar
    • a sprinkle of ground black pepper
    • salt to taste

    How to make Sesame Chicken:

    • Cut chicken breasts into 1” chunks and in a glass bowl combine all of the marinade ingredients and mix well.
    • Add the chicken and coat evenly.
    • Cover and marinade for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.n
    • Meanwhile, in separate bowl combine all of the batter ingredients and mix thoroughly.
    • The batter should be thick enough to coat the chicken but thin enough to flow around the pieces.
    • Set aside.
    • Using a fork or tongs remove the pieces of chicken from the marinade and dip them into the batter to coat evenly (one by one).
    • Deep fry the chicken in batches in your deep fryer for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Drain on paper towels.
    • In your wok combine the sauce ingredients and warm over medium heat.
    • Bring to a boil while stirring and simmer until sauce slightly thickens.
    • In the wok or in a serving dish coat chicken with the sauce and garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
    • Sesame Chicken is ready to Serve.

    • 2 kg whole chicken (cut into 10-12 large pieces)
    • 2 cup chicken stock

    • 1 tbsp red chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper, crushed
    • 1 cinnamon stick (about 2- inch)
    • 1 tsp cumin powder
    • 1 star aniseed
    • 1 tsp aniseed
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 1 mace
    • 1 nutmeg
    • 2 black cardamom pods
    • salt to taste

    For Garnishing:

    • fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
    • 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, cut into thin strips
    • 4 fresh lime wedges
    • 4-5 green chilies , chopped

    Rinse and drained chicken properly.

    Heat oil in a large pan and fry the chicken pieces for 15 minutes or until golden brown; then remove from the oil and set aside.

    Again heat 1 cup of oil in a pot, add bay leaves, cinnamon stick, black cardamom pods, star aniseed, cumin seeds,nutmeg and mace into it.

    Step 4

    Cook for 2 minutes to bring out the aroma of the spices.

    Then add 1 onion and fry until onions become crispy and golden.

    Add the ginger – garlic paste and saute for a minute.

    Step 7

    Add the browned chicken and season with chili powder, salt, turmeric and coriander powder.

    Now add the chicken stock and 1/2 cup of water , bring to a boil then cover and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked.

    Step 9

    Dissolve wheat flour in 1/2 cup of water and add into nihari, cook for 10-15 minutes on high heat .

    Step 10

    Continuously whisking to avoid lumps.

    Step 11

    Then add aniseed and black pepper ; stir well.

    Step 12

    In a separate pan fry onion in the remaining 1/2 cup of oil/ ghee and add to nihari.

    Step 13

    Put the lid on and simmer on low flame for 10 minutes.

    Step 14

    Dish it out. Garnish with chopped green chilies , ginger, chopped coriander and lime wedges.Delicious Chicken Nihari is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Try this different and delicious sweet samosa recipe by Shireen Anwar for your next party or get-together, just follow these simple steps to make a sweet samosa filled with ricotta cheese, coconut, sugar and nuts.

    • 250 gm ricotta cheese (khoya or barfi)
    • 3 tbsp chopped almonds
    • 3 tbsp chopped pistachios
    • 3 tbsp sugar
    • 2 tbsp desiccated coconut
    • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
    • Samosa Patti as required

    Method

    1. In a bowl, combine together khoya, sugar, desiccated coconut, cardamom powder, almonds and pistachios.
    2. Mix until well combined.
    3. Fill this filling in samosa patti and make samosas.
    4. Deep fry samosas for 2-3 minutes or until light golden.
    5. Sweet Samosa is ready to serve.

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with tea.

So many different possibilities and such a vast array of flavors, Kebabs are one of the most delicious foods of all time. I love experimenting with different flavors for kabab’s and today I’ve got for you a tasty Tawa Kabab that’s super easy and I’m also going to share my secret to a moist and juicy Kabab!!

    I’ve made these kabab’s on the Griddle Pan but you could also broil it in the oven if you wish. These kabab is a nice combination of chicken mince, raw papaya, fried onion and spices.This tawa kebab recipe is fast and fabulous—and sure to satisfy any palate!!

    They’re easy and always a crowd pleaser. I used papaya and fried onion in this tawa kabab recipe which make the kabab’s very moist, juicy and flavorful. Also I marinated these kabab’s for just a couple of hours and they still came out really flavorful. You can use any meat beef, mutton or lamb of your choice and you can make them spicy or non spicy according to your preference.I love the sizzle when the Kabab touches the hot pan. 😛

    Tawa Kabab

    • 500 gm chicken mince
    • 4 tablespoon fried and ground onion
    • 3 tablespoon cooking oil
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tablespoon raw papaya
    • 1 tablespoon red chili (crushed)
    • 1 tablespoon whole coriander (crushed)
    • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (roasted and crushed)
    • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
    • Salt to taste

    Directions

    1. In a small pan, dry roast cumin seeds, coriander seeds and red chilli. Let it cool and grind.
    2. Put chicken mince in a mixing bowl. Add fried onion,green chilies, ginger garlic paste, raw papaya, garam masala, salt and grinded masala. Mix until well combined.
    3. Leave it for 20 minutes to blend flavors. Then shape into seekh kababs.
    4. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until set.
    5. Now heat oil on a griddle (tawa) over medium heat.
    6. Put kabab on the griddle (tawa). Fry kabab on each side for 2-3 minutes or until they turn golden.
    7. When done, give them smoke of charcoal. Take it out in a serving platter. Tawa Kabab is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Serving Suggestions:
    1.You can served these kababs in a tortilla wrap or chapati with some green chutney.
    2.Serve with naan and raita.

    Recipe Note’s:

    1. While mixing chicken mince, make sure it’s completely drained of water or else it will cause problems later while making the kebab.
    2. For a healthy and lighter version, these kababs can also be baked.
    3. You can prepare the kababs and place them in the fridge to fry when needed.
    4. You can even fry them and wrap them in aluminium foil to warm up later and they taste good.
    5. You can grill or BBQ them as well.

    Triangle Paratha

    This is an Easy version of  triangle paratha!  Learn how to make layered triangle paratha by following this easy Recipe.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups whole wheat flour
    • 3/4 cup warm water
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
    • olive oil cooking spray
    • additional flour for dusting the parathas

     

    Directions:

    Step 1

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the ingredients for the dough.

    Step 2

    Knead on a floured counter top for about 5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic.

    Step 3

    Divide into 8 balls, cover with a damp kitchen towel and let them rest for 30 minutes.

    Step 4

    Roll out a piece of dough to about 6″ in diameter on your floured counter top.

    Step 5

    Fold the dough in half onto itself to create a semi-circle.

    Step 6

    Fold the semi-circle in half to create a triangle shape & then roll out the triangle just a bit.

    Step 7

    Heat a little olive oil cooking spray in the large skillet on medium heat.

    Step 8

    Cook paratha until brown on the bottom – then flip & cook until browned on both sides.

    Step 9

    Remove from heat and repeat with the remaining dough. Triangle Paratha is ready to serve. Enjoy!

    • Serve with curry, dal or any vegetable.
