    • 1-1/2 cups spaghetti, boiled

    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
    • 3 tbsp grated cheese
    • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped
    • 3 green chilies, chopped
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • bread crumbs as required
    • oil for frying

    For White Sauce:

    • 1 cup milk
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 1 tbsp plain flour, heaped
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
    • 1/2 tsp salt

    1. Place boiled spaghetti and sweet corn in a large bowl.
    2. Also add white sauce, cheese, coriander leaves, green chilies, salt and pepper.
    3. Mix until well combined.
    4. Make small balls of the mixture.
    5. Dip spaghetti balls in beaten egg then roll in bread crumbs.
    6. Deep fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown.
    7. Remove from the oil and drain on an absorbent paper.
    8. Spaghetti Balls are ready to serve.

  • A Royal Treat: Badami Shahi Tukray Recipe (Almonds Bread Pudding)!

    Badami Shahi Tukray

    Badami Shahi Tukray is one of a famous delight of South Asian cuisine and as its name suggests its a royal dessert. It can be regarded as continental version of bread pudding. Delectable shahi tukra is made by soaking fried bread slices into the thickened sweetened milk. Try this Badami shahi tukray recipe .

    Badami Shahi Tukray Recipe

    • 10 bread slices
    • 150 gm sugar
    • 1 packet fresh cream
    • 1-1/2 milk
    • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese (khoya)
    • 1 tbsp hot milk
    • 1 tbsp almond (sliced)
    • 1 tbsp pistachios (sliced)
    • 1 tbsp kewra water
    • 1/2 tsp saffron
    1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C.
    2. Cut bread sliced into four pieces.
    3. Heat ghee in a deep pan.
    4. Fry bread slices for 2-3 minutes or until golden.
    5. Remove from the oil and arrange in a tray.
    6. Dissolve sugar and saffron in 1 cup of milk.
    7. Pour this mixture over the fried bread.
    8. In a small bowl, combine remaining 1 cup milk with cream and khoya.
    9. Mix well.
    10. Pour over the soaked bread and leave it for 10 minutes.
    11. Sprinkle sliced almonds, pistachios, kewra water over it.
    12. Bake for 15 minutes or until well done.
    13. Badami Shahi Tukray are ready to serve.
    14. Serve chilled.

    Tandoori Boti is a very popular sort of fast food that is common in Pakistan and India. It’s really good for people who love spicy flavors and is easy to make.     Tandoori Boti

    • 1/2 kg beef or mutton or chicken
    • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp papaya paste
    • 1 tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1/2 tsp red chili (crushed)
    • 1/2 tsp all spice powder
    • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds (crushed)
    • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (crushed)
    • a pinch of ground nutmeg
    • a pinch of saffron
    • salt to taste

    Method

    1. In a small bowl, combine together plain yogurt, ginger garlic paste, papaya paste, black pepper, turmeric, red chili , crushed red chili, all spice, cumin seeds, coriander seeds nut meg, lemon juice, saffron, salt and oil.
    2. Pour this mixture over the meat pieces.
    3. Mix well.
    4. Place in a refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours.
    5. Preheat oven to 350 degree F or 150 Degree C.
    6. Put marinated meat in a baking dish.
    7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or grill it in a pan or barbecue.
    8. Tandoori Boti is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with salad and mint raita.

    Fish tikka shashlik is quite popular among all fish lovers in the world. Here, I’m providing you an easy recipe for preparing delicious, healthy  fish tikka Shashlik at home. And make quick and easy BBQ sauce using items from your refrigerator and spice rack. It’s a simple mixture you can modify and experiment with until you’ve created your own secret sauce.

    Fish Tikka Shashlik Recipe

    • 1/2 kg fish fillets
    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 2 to matoes (cut into cubes)
    • 2 onions (cut into cubes)
    • 2 capsicums (cut into cubes)
    • 2 tbsp yogurt
    • 2 tbsp fresh cream
    • 1 tbsp vinegar
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tbsp cornflour
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp cumin powder
    • 1/2 tsp chat masala
    • 1-1/2 tsp salt
    • a pinch of orange food color
    • coriander leaves (for garnishing)

    Method

    1. Cut fish fillets into 1 inch cubes.
    2. Marinate fish pieces with ginger garlic paste, red Chilli powder, cumin powder, salt, yogurt, vinegar, cornflour, cream and food coloring.
    3. Keep aside for 20 minutes.
    4. Thread fish pieces, tomato, capsicum and onion on a shashlik stick.
    5. Repeat this procedure with all remaining ingredients and prepare other sticks in the same manner.
    6. Heat a little oil in a shallow pan.
    7. Fry shashlik sticks in it or grill them for 10-15 minutes.
    8. Fish Tikka Shashlik is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Fried Rice.

    Homemade Pizza Pockets

    This week things are super crazy, so I decided to make a pizza pocket version. They are seriously so easy to make – and the perfect finger food!

    Homemade Pizza Pockets Recipe

    For Dough

    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp instant yeast
    • 1/2 tsp sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt

    For Filling

    • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (grated)
    • 1 cup chicken tikka (shredded)
    • 1 capsicum (cut into cubes)
    • 1 to mato (cut into cubes)
    • 1 onion (cut into cubes)
    • 1 tsp oregano leaves
    1. In a bowl, combine together flour, salt, sugar, Instant yeast and oil.
    2. Knead a soft dough with lukewarm water.
    3. Leave it to rise for 30 minutes.
    4. Preheat oven to 200 degree C.
    5. Grease a pizza pan with butter.
    6. Divide pizza dough into 3 equal portions.
    7. Roll pizza dough into 3 circles size of a quarter plate.
    8. On one half of each circle sprinkle cheese, tomato, onion, capsicum and shredded chicken Tikka.
    9. Sprinkle oregano over it.
    10. Top with grated cheese.
    11. Brush the edges of each pizza base with oil.
    12. Fold the plain half over to form a semi circle.
    13. Press the edges firmly.
    14. Place pizza pockets on greased pizza pan.
    15. Brush with oil.
    16. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
    17. Cut into half.
    18. Pizza Pockets are ready to serve.

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Chili Garlic sauce.

    Spicy Fish Tikka Recipe

    • 1 kg King fish (clean and cut in cubes)
    • 2 tbsp White vinegar
    • 1 tbsp Red crushed chilli
    • 1 tsp White cumin (roasted and ground)
    • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
    • Salt to taste
    • 4 tbsp Oil
    1. Apply vinegar and salt on fish and wash after 10 minutes.
    2. Then apply all spices and lemon juice and marinade for 1-1/2 hour.
    3. Thread on skewers and BBQ, grill or fry in a bit oil.
    4. When done then apply oil with brush and squeeze lemon again. Spicy Fish Tikka is ready to serve.

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with tamarind sauce.

  • Spice Up Your Life: Desi-Style Chili Chicken Recipe You Crave!

    Pakistani Or Desi Style Chili Chicken

    This is a really easy & quick recipe. And guys, I am already warning people with no tolerance to spicy food. Beware. This can be the most spiciest food ever. You can always lessen the amount of red chilli paste in eat but in my views you’ll ruin the whole point of this dish. Its one of my all time favorites. I always make this dish with Bhagaar walay chawal( stir fried rice) & spicy green chutney & serve it wit sliced lettuce & cucumbers. For a perfect taste do not add all ingredients at once. The timing in when you add what to a dish while cooking makes a big difference in its taste. Enjoy till you start sweating 🙂

    Prep Time: 5 minutes

    Cook Time:30 minutes

     Servings: 5

    Ingredients

    For Desi Chili Chicken:

    • 1 kg chicken, cut into 16 pieces
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • 2 onions, cut into cubes
    • 2 capsicum, cut into cubes
    • 4 tbsp ketchup
    • 2 tbsp chili sauce
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1-1/2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp salt

    For Tomato Sauce:

    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 4 green chilies
    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 can whole tomatoes

    Yield: 5 servings

    Directions:

    To Make Tomato Sauce:

    1.  Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan.
    2. Add chopped green chilies and sliced onion.
    3. Fry for 2-3minutes or until transparent.
    4. Now add whole tomatoes.
    5. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
    6. Remove from the heathen blend until smooth.

    To Make Desi Chili Chicken:

    1. Cook chicken with ginger garlic paste, chili powder and salt for 20 minutes or until all water dries up.
    2. Heat oil in a deep wok over medium heat.
    3. Add capsicum and onion’s cubes.
    4. Saute for 2 minutes then add prepared tomato sauce and cooked chicken.
    5. Stir well.
    6. Also add tomato ketchup and red chili sauce.
    7. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes or until chicken is tender.
    8. Desi Chili Chicken is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

     

    • Serve with boiled rice.

  • The Perfect Family Dinner: Easy Tawa Chicken Recipe!

    Tawa Chicken is a dry chicken recipe, generally cooked on roadside dhabas on big tawa (griddle). It’s really good for people who love spicy flavors and is easy to make. This dish goes well with naan bread. Tawa Chicken is a restaurant specialty in Lahore city. After eating it I often thought to make it at home and finally now I tried and got it very similar to that actual taste. It has a little spicy taste due to use of green chilies. My whole family also like it. This dish goes well with hot naan, paratha or rotis.

    • 1 kg  Chicken
    • 4 tbsp butter or ghee
    • 1 cup onion, minced
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 2 tbsp Lime juice
    • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper, crushed
    • 3 tbsp Tandoori Spice Mix
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • Salt to taste

    For garnishing:

    • 6-8 Green Chilies, thinly sliced
    • 4 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

     

    Directions:

    Step 1

    Rinse chicken and trim all fat. Cut chicken into small pieces.

    Step 2

    Place all ingredients and chicken (except butter) in a large bowl. Mix well.

    Step 3

    Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours for marination.

    Step 4

    Heat butter or ghee in a large tawa. Add marinated chicken and stir fry for few minutes.

    Step 5

    Then reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring until chicken is tender.

    Step 6

    Sprinkle garam masala over it. Garnished with coriander leaves and green chilies. Tawa Chicken is ready to serve.

     

    • Serve hot with hot naan, paratha or rotis.

    10. Take it out in a serving dish.
    11. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    12. Tawa Chicken Bharta is ready to serve.

    Ingredients

    • 2 boiled potatoes, peeled & cubed
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1 tomato, chopped
    • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 1/4 cup sev
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp sweet chutney
    • 1 tbsp green chutney
    • 1 tsp chaat masala powder
    • salt according to taste
    • Few coriander leaves, for garnishing

    Directions:

    Step 1

    Place the potatoes, tomatoes, and onions in a large bowl.

    Step 2

    Stir in the sweet chutney, green chutney and lemon juice.

    Step 3

    Season with salt and chaat masala. Toss to coat evenly.

    Step 4

    Top with sev and cheese.

    Step 5

    Garnish with coriander leaves. Cheese Chaat is ready to serve. Enjoy!!

    Treat your family with this yummy Chocolate Paratha. Better than store bought junk. All you need to make this tasty paratha is chocolate, flour, milk, and some walnuts. Really that’s it… ok a little bit of butter too 🙂 Goes great with a cup of coffee and some peanut butter.

    Chocolate Paratha

    Treat your family with this yummy Chocolate Paratha. Better than store bought junk. All you need to make this tasty paratha is chocolate, flour, milk, and some walnuts.

    • 500 gm Wheat flour
    • 1 cup Chocolate
    • 1/2 cup walnuts (crushed)
    • Milk for kneading
    • Ghee or oil for cooking
    • 1/4 cup peanut butter (Optional)

    Directions

    1. Place flour in a large bowl. Knead a soft dough with milk.
    2. Keep aside.
    3. Melt chocolate in a double boiler.
    4. Stir in the walnuts.
    5. Make 12 small balls from the dough.
    6. Roll out into round shape chapati.
    7. Spread chocolate mixture over a chapati.
    8. Cover with second chapati.
    9. Seal edges.
    10. Heat a griddle or tawa.
    11. Put paratha on the griddle, apply ghee over it.
    12. Cook on low flame for 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
    13. Take it out in a serving plate.
    14. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Delicious Chocolate Paratha is ready to serve.ENJOY!!
    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Jam or jellies or Peanut butter.

    • good quality strawberry jam
    • 400 gm strawberries , sliced

    • 1 cup strawberry flavored jelly
    • 1 cup fresh cream, lightly whipped
    • 250 ml whipped cream, (approximately 1 cup)

    My trifle keeps well for 3-4 days. Always keep it refrigerated.

    It depends, but my guess is it would feed approximately 6-8 people.

    Strawberry Trifle Recipe

    • 350 gm plain cake
    • good quality strawberry jam
    • 400 gm strawberries (sliced)
    • 1 tbsp caster sugar
    • 500 gm pot of good quality strawberry custard
    • 1 cup strawberry flavored jelly
    • 1 cup fresh cream (lightly whipped)
    • 250 ml whipped cream ((approximately 1 cup))
    • strawberry sauce (optional (for topping))
    1. Make your strawberry jelly in advance according to packet instructions. Pour it into a small rectangle or square baking tin, so it’s roughly 1 inch high. Leave it in the fridge to set.

    2. Begin by prepping everything. Chop your strawberries in half and sprinkle the sugar over the strawberries.

    3. Slice the cake and sandwich the slices together with jam. Cut into 1 inch squares.

    4. In a bowl, mix together the chilled custard and fresh cream. Fold into strawberries.

    5. To assemble, divide the cake between 6 glasses and sprinkle a little strawberry sauce over each.

    6. Spoon over the creamy strawberry custard then top each with a layer of jelly and a layer of whipped cream.

    7. Decorate with strawberries.Enjoy!

    1. You can use any plain store bought cake (that’s not frosted) like sponge cake, pound cake etc.
    2. You can use strawberry juice or another liquid if you like.
