    Homemade Pizza Pockets

    This week things are super crazy, so I decided to make a pizza pocket version. They are seriously so easy to make – and the perfect finger food!

    Homemade Pizza Pockets Recipe

    Prep Time 40 minutes
    Cook Time 20 minutes
    Total Time 1 hour
    Servings 6

    Ingredients

    For Dough

    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp instant yeast
    • 1/2 tsp sugar
    • 1/4 tsp salt

    For Filling

    • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese grated
    • 1 cup chicken tikka shredded
    • 1 capsicum cut into cubes
    • 1 to mato cut into cubes
    • 1 onion cut into cubes
    • 1 tsp oregano leaves

    Instructions

    • In a bowl, combine together flour, salt, sugar, Instant yeast and oil.
    • Knead a soft dough with lukewarm water.
    • Leave it to rise for 30 minutes.
    • Preheat oven to 200 degree C.
    • Grease a pizza pan with butter.
    • Divide pizza dough into 3 equal portions.
    • Roll pizza dough into 3 circles size of a quarter plate.
    • On one half of each circle sprinkle cheese, tomato, onion, capsicum and shredded chicken Tikka.
    • Sprinkle oregano over it.
    • Top with grated cheese.
    • Brush the edges of each pizza base with oil.
    • Fold the plain half over to form a semi circle.
    • Press the edges firmly.
    • Place pizza pockets on greased pizza pan.
    • Brush with oil.
    • Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
    • Cut into half.
    • Pizza Pockets are ready to serve.

    Notes

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with Chili Garlic sauce.

    Spicy Fish Tikka Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1 kg King fish clean and cut in cubes
    • 2 tbsp White vinegar
    • 1 tbsp Red crushed chilli
    • 1 tsp White cumin roasted and ground
    • 4 tbsp Lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
    • Salt to taste
    • 4 tbsp Oil

    Instructions

    • Apply vinegar and salt on fish and wash after 10 minutes.
    • Then apply all spices and lemon juice and marinade for 1-1/2 hour.
    • Thread on skewers and BBQ, grill or fry in a bit oil.
    • When done then apply oil with brush and squeeze lemon again. Spicy Fish Tikka is ready to serve.

    Notes

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with tamarind sauce.

  • Spice Up Your Life: Desi-Style Chili Chicken Recipe You Crave!

    Pakistani Or Desi Style Chili Chicken

    This is a really easy & quick recipe. And guys, I am already warning people with no tolerance to spicy food. Beware. This can be the most spiciest food ever. You can always lessen the amount of red chilli paste in eat but in my views you’ll ruin the whole point of this dish. Its one of my all time favorites. I always make this dish with Bhagaar walay chawal( stir fried rice) & spicy green chutney & serve it wit sliced lettuce & cucumbers. For a perfect taste do not add all ingredients at once. The timing in when you add what to a dish while cooking makes a big difference in its taste. Enjoy till you start sweating 🙂

    Prep Time: 5 minutes

    Cook Time:30 minutes

     Servings: 5

    Ingredients

    For Desi Chili Chicken:

    • 1 kg chicken, cut into 16 pieces
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • 2 onions, cut into cubes
    • 2 capsicum, cut into cubes
    • 4 tbsp ketchup
    • 2 tbsp chili sauce
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1-1/2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp salt

    For Tomato Sauce:

    • 1/4 cup oil
    • 4 green chilies
    • 1 onion, thinly sliced
    • 1 can whole tomatoes

    Yield: 5 servings

    Directions:

    To Make Tomato Sauce:

    1.  Heat 1/4 cup oil in a pan.
    2. Add chopped green chilies and sliced onion.
    3. Fry for 2-3minutes or until transparent.
    4. Now add whole tomatoes.
    5. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
    6. Remove from the heathen blend until smooth.

    To Make Desi Chili Chicken:

    1. Cook chicken with ginger garlic paste, chili powder and salt for 20 minutes or until all water dries up.
    2. Heat oil in a deep wok over medium heat.
    3. Add capsicum and onion’s cubes.
    4. Saute for 2 minutes then add prepared tomato sauce and cooked chicken.
    5. Stir well.
    6. Also add tomato ketchup and red chili sauce.
    7. Cook on low flame for 10 minutes or until chicken is tender.
    8. Desi Chili Chicken is ready to serve. ENJOY!!

     

    • Serve with boiled rice.

     

  • The Perfect Family Dinner: Easy Tawa Chicken Recipe!

    Tawa Chicken is a dry chicken recipe, generally cooked on roadside dhabas on big tawa (griddle). It’s really good for people who love spicy flavors and is easy to make. This dish goes well with naan bread. Tawa Chicken is a restaurant specialty in Lahore city. After eating it I often thought to make it at home and finally now I tried and got it very similar to that actual taste. It has a little spicy taste due to use of green chilies. My whole family also like it. This dish goes well with hot naan, paratha or rotis.

    • 1 kg  Chicken
    • 4 tbsp butter or ghee
    • 1 cup onion, minced
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 1 tbsp ginger paste
    • 2 tbsp Lime juice
    • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
    • 1/2 tsp black pepper, crushed
    • 3 tbsp Tandoori Spice Mix
    • 1 tsp garam masala powder
    • Salt to taste

    For garnishing:

    • 6-8 Green Chilies, thinly sliced
    • 4 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves

     

    Directions:

    Step 1

    Rinse chicken and trim all fat. Cut chicken into small pieces.

    Step 2

    Place all ingredients and chicken (except butter) in a large bowl. Mix well.

    Step 3

    Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours for marination.

    Step 4

    Heat butter or ghee in a large tawa. Add marinated chicken and stir fry for few minutes.

    Step 5

    Then reduce heat to low and cook for 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring until chicken is tender.

    Step 6

    Sprinkle garam masala over it. Garnished with coriander leaves and green chilies. Tawa Chicken is ready to serve.

     

    • Serve hot with hot naan, paratha or rotis.

    Heat the oil and fry the onions till they are light golden in colour.

    If required, add 1 cup of water to make gravy.

    • Greased baking dish with melted butter.
    • Place Chicken on it and bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes or until golden. Potato crusted chicken is ready to serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 kg fish fillets
    • 2 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp mustard powder
    • 1/2 tsp white pepper
    • 2 eggs lightly beaten
    • 1 cup plain flour
    • 1 cup breadcrumbs
    • salt to taste
    • oil for frying

    Instructions

    Method

    • Rinse and drained fish fillets then cut the fish into finger shaped pieces.
    • Place the fish in a bowl, add soy sauce, lemon juice, mustard powder, red chili, salt and pepper.
    • Marinate fish for at least 2 hours.
    • Place the flour, eggs and bread crumbs in 3 separate bowl.
    • Roll each fish finger in flour, then dip in egg and again roll in breadcrumbs properly. Place them in a single layer on flat dish.
    • Heat oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Deep fry the finger fish for 8-10 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
    • Drain on paper towel. Finger fish is ready to serve.

    Add 1 cup water and green peas. Cook on slow flame for ten minutes or until done.

    Boil water in a pan. Add plalak and methi in th boiling water.

    Stir and cook for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.

    Step 5

    Remove from the heat. Strain the water.

    Step 6

    Mash the leaves lightly.

    Step 7

    Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Add the masala paste. Cook and stir for 12 minutes or until the moisture evaporates.

    Step 8

    Add mashed palak and methi leaves to the masala. Stir fry for 15 minutes or until cooked thorough.

    Step 9

    Add potatoes and mix well. Cook until the potatoes are done.

    Step 10

    Sprinkle with garam masala.

    Step 11

    Take it out in a serving bowl. Aloo Methi Palak is ready to serve.

    Add onions and pepper and fry them for 1 min.

    Then add cauliflower and cover the pan and cook for 2 more mins.

    Then add turmeric powder and ginger paste,add tomato and cover the pan and cook for 2 more mins.

    Now add zeera powder,coriander powder,chilli powder and salt then cook for 1 more min when the vegetables are a bit tender then add fried paneer to it.

    Step 1

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Saute onion in hot oil till they are translucent.

    Step 2

    Add ginger garlic paste, red chili, turmeric powder and salt. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the oil separates.

    Step 3

    Add the beef, yogurt, tomatoes and water. Stir well. Cover and cook for 40 minutes or until the beef is tender.

    Step 4

    Remove the pot from the heat.

    Step 5

    Add ginger, coriander leaves, cloves, green chilies, mint leaves, cinnamon stick and peppercorns.

    Step 6

    Layer the rice on top along with the additional oil and food color. Cover the pot and return to heat. Simmer on the low heat for 20 minutes.

    I’ve been experimenting recently to find a delicious Chicken Pita pockets recipe that can be made relatively quickly. I like pitas for its pocket like, leak-proof space. It’s not gonna get all over your hands and your filling stays snug in one place even after you’ve taken several bites.

    This classic dish has been modified to be lower in fat and salt, yet it’s still packed with flavour and spice. Low fat yogurt and low fat cream cheese, whilst the skinless chicken pieces are infused with cumin, paprika and garlic for aroma and taste.It so delicious and healthy too.     Chicken Pita Pockets

    For Chicken Marinade

    • 500 gm chicken breasts boneless and skinless
    • 1 cup plain yogurt
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
    • salt according to taste

    For Sauce

    • 4 tablespoon sour cream
    • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
    • 1 clove garlic roasted and chopped
    • a pinch of paprika powder

    For Pita Pockets

    • 4 pita breads
    • 1 cucumber diced
    • few salad leaves chopped
    • few lemon wedges
    • red onion thinly sliced

    Instructions

    Directions

    • Remove all the fat from the chicken and rinse it with cold water. Pat dry.
    • Cut chicken into small cubes.
    • Put chicken in a large bowl. Add yogurt, ginger garlic paste, salt, paprika, cumin and lemon juice. Stir to coat evenly.
    • Cover and marinate for 30 minutes to blend flavors.
    • Now heat 1 tablespoon oil in a non-stick pan. Add marinated chicken.
    • Stir and cook for 10-12 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink and all juices run clear.
    • Allow to cool.
    • To make sauce: In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce and paprika powder.
    • Cut the pita bread into halves and gently pull each half open to form a pocket.
    • Fill each with salad leaves, onion, cucumber and lemon wedges.
    • Divide the chicken tikka mixture among the pita pockets. Drizzle it with with prepared sauce. Delicious Chicken Pita Pockets are ready to eat. Enjoy!!

    Note :
    Cover the pita bread so it remains soft and warm.
    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with cream sauce and french fries.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 Kg boneless mutton
    • 1/2 cup oil
    • 1 tsp ginger paste
    • 1 tsp garlic paste
    • 4 to matoes finely chopped
    • 1-1/2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds crushed
    • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
    • salt to taste
    • 4 tbsp fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
    • 4 green chilies thinly sliced

    Instructions

    Method

    • Heat oil in a deep skillet or a pan.
    • Add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste in it
    • Fry for 1 minute or until start crackling.
    • Now put mutton in it.
    • Fry for 10 minutes or until no longer pink.
    • Then add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder and tomatoes.
    • Cook for 5-8 minutes then add 2 cups of water.
    • Cook for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
    • Cook on high flame for 5 minutes or until oil comes on top.
    • Take it out in a serving bowl.
    • Garnished with fresh coriander leaves and green chilies.
    • Tamatar Gosht is ready to serve.

    Serving Suggestions:
    Serve with boiled rice, chapati or naan.

    Step 1

    Rinse the rice in 4-5 changes of water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for half an hour, then drain and set aside.

    Step 2

    Heat the 3 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium- low heat .

    Step 3

    Add the cloves, cardamom pods, cumin seeds, peppercorns and cinnamon stick. Cook for 2 minutes to bring out the aroma of the spices.

    Step 4

    Then add the onion and fry for 4-5 minutes or until onion are golden brown.

    Step 5

    Then add 1/4 cup of water and green peas into the skillet, cover with the lid and cook for 4-5 minutes.

    Step 6

    Add the remaining 4 cups of water and rice into the skillet. Season with salt and pepper .

    Step 7

    Bring to a full boil then again put the lid on . Simmer on medium heat about 15-20 minutes or until rice has absorbed all of the water.

    Step 8

    Remove the lid and stir once a while.

    Step 9

    Again cover and cook another 15 minutes on very low flame.

    Srep 10

    In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add cashew and almonds ; stir for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.

    Step 11

    Take the matar pulao in the serving dish and sprinkle the roasted nuts. Matar Pulao with Nuts is ready to serve.
