Paneer Samosa
Samosa, the most famous street snack, gets a make over! I have used paneer, sugar and nuts instead of the usual samosa filling. Do try it!!

For filling:
- 1 kg paneer
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4 tablespoon mixed Nuts, finely chopped
For Samosa dough
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tablespoon fine Rawa
- 1 tablespoon melted Butter
- 1-1/2 teaspoon powdered Sugar
- oil for deep frying
- Honey to glaze samosas
- Almonds, thinly sliced for decorating

Step 1
Crumble paneer and mix with milk blending both well with hands.
Step 2
Add sugar and knead it for few minutes.
Step 3
Heat this on a skillet in medium flame stirring constantly for 1 or 2 minutes till sugar melts completely.
Step 4
Remove from fire and allow it to cool.
Step 5
Mix fried nuts to this mixture and keep aside.
Step 6
Sieve plain flour with baking powder twice. Add a pinch of salt, rawa, powdered sugar to flour and mix well in a bowl.
Step 7
Add melted butter.
Step 8
Sprinkle water and knead it gradually to a thick dough.
Step 9
Ensure the melted butter is at room temperature. Keep aside for 1/2 an hour.
Step 10
Knead well again till the dough becomes pliable and soft.
Step 11
Make small balls and roll it into thin circles.
Step 12
Keep 1 tblsp of filling inside and fold it in the center and seal the edges with little water.
Step 13
Using a samosa cutter cut the edges or shape it with hands like a plait.
Step 14
Deep fry on low heat for 5-7 minutes or until crisp.
Step 15
Drain on paper towel. Brush honey on top and decorate with roasted almonds. Paneer Samosa is ready to serve. Enjoy!
