Ingredients:
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Method:
- Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Lightly grease a 8-inch square baking dish.
- Set aside.
- Place flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
- Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, combine together egg, milk, butter and sour cream.
- Stir this mixture into flour mixture just until moistened.
- Pour this batter into the greased baking dish.
- Place baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Sweet Corn Bread is ready to serve.
