- 500 gm fish fillets, skinless
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 2 tsp garlic paste
- 2 tbsp lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp fish curry powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- a pinch of red food Colour
- a pinch of yellow food colour
- 4 tbsp plain Yoghurt
- 2 tbsp butter, for brushing
- salt to taste
- 3-4 Lemon wedges
- few salad leaves

Cut the fish into pieces (2 inches each), then soak and wash the fish with salt to remove the fishy smell.
Marinate the fish with all ingredients except butter.
Then put it into the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Then take it out from the refrigerator, and leave it for it to defrost, before cooking.
Check the salt content, add in if necessary.
Cook it in the tandoori oven or cook it in the oven or grill it.
Preheat the oven at 250 degree C before placing the fish into the oven.
Take the tray and grease it with 1 tbsp butter and place the fish on the tray.
Cook it in the oven for 4 minutes at 220 degree C.
Remove the fish from the oven and strain off any liquid found on the tray.
Turn it over to the other side, if necessary.
Then brush it with butter and place it back into the oven for 6 to 8 minutes at 250 degree C. Fish Tikka is ready to serve.
- Serve with mint chutney or barbecue sauce.
