- 1/2 kg potatoes, boiled
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 4 green chillies, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 cup tamarind pulp
- 1/2 cup jaggery
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tsp red chilli, crushed
- salt to taste
- oil for frying

Soak tamarind in warm water for 15-20 minutes.
Boiled potatoes then mashed.
Take a large bowl, place potatoes, coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger and garlic in it.
Sprinkle red chili, cumin seeds sand salt over it.
Mix well and shape into small ball.
Lightly flatten them with palm of hands.
In a small bowl, lightly beat eggs.
Dip potato balls in it.
Heat oil in a pan over medium high heat. Fry kebabs until golden brown.
Add jaggery and tamarind pulp in a medium bowl.
Season with salt and red chili powder.
Lightly beat plain yogurt and set aside.
Take a shallow dish, place fried aloo tikki in it.
Spoon tamarind chutney and yogurt over it.
Garnish with ginger slices and green chilies
- Serve with imli ki chutney.
