  • 1 cup coconut, grated
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 green chillies
  • 6 black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes, crushed
  • salt to taste

Step 1

Heat oil in a wok or deep pan.

Step 2

Saute onion, garlic and green chillies in it.

Step 3

Remove from the flame and allow it to cool.
Step 4

In a blender, place sauteed onion and all ingredients with 2tbsp water.

Step 5

Blend to make a smooth paste.
Coconut Sambal is ready to serve.
