    • 750 gm sole/ bekhti fillets
    • 3 tsp red chillies
    • 2 tbsp coconut desiccated
    • 2 tsp ginger, chopped
    • 6 garlic cloves
    • 1 ½ tbsp white vinegar
    • 3 tbsp plain flour
    • salt to taste
    • oil for frying
    • lemon wedges for garnishing

    Step 1

    Wash the fish fillets and pat dry.

    Step 2

    Sprinkle flour over the fish fillets and keep aside.

    Step 3

    Grind together red chillies, coconut, ginger, garlic, vinegar and just enough water to make fine paste.

    Step 4

    Add salt and evenly coat fillets with this paste.

    Step 5

    Heat oil in a frying pan and fry fish till crisp.

    Step 6

    Remove from the oil and drain on kitchen paper. Coconut Fish Fry is ready to serve.

    Step 1

    In a small bowl, combine together the oyster sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Saute garlic and Serrano peppers in hot oil. Stir in the chicken, red bell pepper and onion.

    Pour oyster sauce mixture over it. Cook for 5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink.

    This recipe make 6 serving(s).

    Ingredients:

    • 1 broiler/fryer chicken (3 to 4 pounds), cut up
    • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
    • 1 cup coconut milk
    • 1/4 cup canola oil
    • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

    FOR SAUCE:

    • 1 cup water
    • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 3-1/2 tsp cornstarch
    • 3 tbsp minced fresh cilantro
    • 2 tsp rice vinegar
    • 2 tsp peanut butter
    • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
    • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

    Method:

    • Take a shallow bowl, add 1/2 cup flour and coconut milk to it. Mix well.
    • Place remaining flour, salt, garlic powder, ginger and cayenne in another shallow bowl.
    • Dip chicken in the coconut milk mixture then coat with flour.
    • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    • Brown chicken in batches.
    • Remove from the oil and transfer to a greased 13×9-inch. baking dish.
    • Bake, uncovered, at 400 degree F, for 30 minutes or until all juices run clear.

    TO MAKE SAUCE:

    • Meanwhile, take a small saucepan, combine the water, brown sugar, soy sauce, cornstarch, vinegar, peanut butter, cayenne and ginger to it.
    • Bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium-low.
    • Cook for 2-3 minutes or until sauce is thickened.
    • Sprinkle with cilantro.
    • Thai Fried Chicken is ready now.
    • Serve with Sauce.
