  • 1 kg mince meat (keema)
  • 1/2 cup brown onion, crushed
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup oil or ghee
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon papaya paste
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon coconut
  • 1 tablespoon khaskhas
  • 6 whole red chilies
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon mace powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg powder
  • Salt to taste
  • a piece of coal

For Garnishing:

  • Green chilies
  • ginger slices

Directions:

Step 1

Put yogurt, coconut, khas khas, whole chilli,fried onion, cardamom and cinnamon in a blender.Blend until smooth.

Step 2

Take it out in a large bowl. Add papaya paste, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, red pepper, cumin, mace powder, nutmeg powder and salt.Mix well.

Step 3

Add mince in yogurt mixture. Stir until well combined.

Step 4

Cover and marinate for 2 hours or overnight is best.

Step 5

Now heat oil in a large pot or wok over medium heat.

Step 6

Add marinated mince.Cover the wok and cook on very low flame for 30-40 minutes or until all water dries up and mince is cooked.

Step 7

Adjust the seasoning to your taste.

Step 8

Put this pot on a hot griddle and give dam on low flame.

Step 9

In the end give charcoal smoke.

Step 10

Dish it out. Garnish with green chilies and ginger slices. Delicious Smoked Keema is ready to serve.
