Fish with Tartar Sauce
Battered fried fish served with tartar sauce and fries is a classic European food that originated in United Kingdom. I spiced up the original recipe to suite our Eastern taste-buds.

Ingredients
- 500 gm boneless fish fillets
- 1-1/2 lemon
- 2 tsp garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
For Batter:
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup refined flour
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
For Tartar Sauce:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 capsicum, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 olives, thinly sliced
- black pepper to taste
- salt to taste
Directions:
To make Tartar Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine together all tartar sauce ingredients.
- Then place in a refrigerator for 2 hours before serving.
To Make Fish:
- Rinse fish then cut into pieces.
- Rub garlic paste over them.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Also add lemon juice
- Toss well and set aside.
To make Batter:
- In a bowl, add eggs, refined flour, salt and pepper.
- Mix well and make a thick paste.
To proceed:
- Heat oil in a deep wok.
- Dip fish fillets in prepared batter then deep fry for 10-15 minutes or , until golden brown.
- Drain on an absorbent paper.
- Now place fried fish in the serving dish.
- Fish with Tartar Sauce is ready to serve.
- Serve with chilled tartar sauce and french fries.
