- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (12 ounce) package wide egg noodles
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 10 slices American cheese
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2
Take a large pot of lightly salted water.
Step 3
Bring to a boil.
Step 4
Add egg noodles and cook for 8 minutes or until tender. Drain well.
Step 5
Return to the pan. Stir in the cream of chicken soup until noodles are coated.
Step 6
Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat. Drain.
Step 7
Stir in the tomato soup and brown sugar.
Step 8
Season with pepper and salt.
Step 9
Spread half of the beef in the bottom of a greased 2-1/2 quart casserole dish.
Step 10
Place 5 slices of cheese over the beef.
Step 11
Top with half of the noodles then repeat layers.
Step 12
Arrange remaining cheese slices on top.
Step 13
Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and browned. Amish Casserole is ready to serve. ENJOY!!
