  • 500 gm meat
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup fried onion
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp green chili paste
  • 1 tbsp papaya paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp black pepper, crushed
  • salt to taste
  • bamboo sticks as required

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt, fried onion, crushed black pepper, green chili paste, papaya paste, ginger garlic paste and salt.
Step 2

Place meat in a large bowl. Pour yogurt mixture over the meat. Toss to coat. Cover and marinate for 1 hour.
Step 3

After 1 hour, thread meat into bamboo sticks.
Step 4

Heat oil in a grill pan over medium high heat. Fry tikkas for 5 minutes on each side or until meat is tender. Peshawari Tikkay is ready to serve.
